Curryillion
scoring explained.

A fitting NBA answer gets a shot. Its answer band decides how many points are on the line.

01 / THE BASICS

From your answer to the scoreboard.

Each accepted answer has a band. Curryillion turns that band into a basketball shot and adds the points to your running total.

ResultPointsWhat it means
Three-pointer3One of the two highest answer bands.
Two-point shot2The middle answer band.
Free throw1One of the two lower accepted bands.
Miss0A pass or timeout.

The maximum is 30 points: ten questions, each worth up to three. An answer must be accepted to earn a shot; obscurity on its own does not make an incorrect name valid.

02 / CHOOSE YOUR ANGLE

Same court. Different strategy.

Choose Rare or Crowd before the first question. The mode changes which valid answers belong in the strongest scoring bands.

RARE MODE

Go beyond the first name

Try to name a fitting player other fans may overlook. Older award winners, role players and specialists may be worth considering, as long as they match the exact prompt. A famous answer can still be valid but may earn fewer points.

CROWD MODE

Think like the crowd

Look for a fitting player that many fans are likely to name. A familiar star may be a strong choice when the question applies to them. The most obscure name is not necessarily the best pick in this mode.

03 / ON THE COURT

Watch the answer become a shot.

The scoring band determines where the player shoots: a three-pointer from beyond the arc, a two-point attempt from inside it, or a free throw. The result card then shows your answer and points. A pass or timeout takes a missed shot.

04 / THE GAME PLAN

Make each answer count.

01

Fit comes first

Read any team, award or season restriction before choosing. A player can be famous or obscure and still be the wrong fit for a particular question.

02

Watch the clock

You have 30 seconds per prompt. If a name is rejected, try another while time remains. A valid one-point answer is better than a timeout.

03

Review the result

Check the result card to see the band and points earned. Rankings are provisional, so an answer may not always land where you expect.

05 / QUICK ANSWERS

Scoring questions.

What is the highest Curryillion score?+

The maximum is 30 points: ten accepted answers worth three points each.

Does a wrong entry end the round?+

No. If an entry is not recognized, you can try another while the clock is running. A pass or timeout ends the round for zero points.

Do rare answers always earn three points?+

No. Rare mode rewards less familiar valid answers, but the final points depend on the answer's scoring band. Rankings are provisional.
